Cette situation lui a permis d\u2019\u00eatre une voie de passage privil\u00e9gi\u00e9e depuis longtemps. Au XI\u00e8me si\u00e8cle, lors de donations, l\u2019\u00e9glise et les terres libres du Born deviennent possession de l\u2019abbaye de Sainte-Foy-de-Conques. Son prieur\u00e9 est d\u00e8s lors une \u00e9tape essentielle du chemin de p\u00e8lerinage. En 1271, la paroisse s\u2019\u00e9rige en bastide sous la volont\u00e9 de Raymond VII, Comte de Toulouse. Aujourd\u2019hui remani\u00e9e, l\u2019\u00e9glise, enti\u00e8rement en briques, a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9difi\u00e9e par les Anglais pendant la guerre de Cent Ans.\u00a0<\/p><p>Le Born devient une commune en 1790.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7b83e71
