EXPOSITION ÉCLATS DE MURS

The exhibition, which opens at the Tour de Défense on 25 April 2026, is above all a story of friendship... but not just any friendship: the kind that is born in youth, grows with us and accompanies us through all the stages of life.

Pierre VALVERDE and Jean-Louis LÉVY met in the Minimes district of Toulouse and have never severed the ties that bind them ever since, despite the different paths they have taken in their respective professional lives.

Their shared passion for art gave rise to the "Éclats de Murs" exhibition, whose red bricks steeped in history echo each other in Toulouse and on the Tour de Défense. Their passion is reflected in their artistic style, which is resolutely Pop Art.

Pierre Valverde draws his creative inspiration from the literary and musical culture of the 1980s, a period he cherished as a student. He expresses his art through acrylics, which he mixes with collages of paper, newspapers, various documents and sometimes even objects. Influenced by Pop Art, Andy Warhol, Tom Wesselman and Jacques Villeglé, colour is essential to each of his works, creating harmony and childlike wonder in a perfect alchemy.

For Jean-Louis LÉVY, art expresses itself freely. This means that in his painting, he doesn't shy away from any technique - brushes, knives, sponges, trowels, and sometimes even his fingers - or any medium - canvas, building site panels or various unusual objects found at junk shops - or any material (paint, newspapers, cement, etc.). He loves imagination, improvisation and, above all, he likes to hijack characters, images, supports... in short, he likes to break codes!

Come and discover their colourful and symbolic worlds, in this human adventure, at the vernissage on Saturday 25 April at 6.30pm. Then extend the experience from 25 April to 17 May, on Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 2.30pm to 7pm, and on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, from 10am to 7pm.
